The CEO of Citizen and Drug Dependence of the Health and Social Policy, Juan Manuel Ruiz, said today that "local plans drug prevention are essential to prevent drug use and to coordinate actions between the regional government."
Ruiz participated today in the constitution of the Local Council for the Prevention of Drug Addiction of Alhama de Murcia which he said, is a bet "revitalizing" of municipal policies to prevent drug and alcohol use and promote the social integration of those who have suffered some form of addiction.
This initiative, part of the Regional Plan on Drugs, aims to create channels that help to raise public awareness of Alhama on the effects of alcohol and drug intake.
This, said the CEO, "the support of the local council will be essential for the development of the new Local Plan for the Prevention of Drug Addiction."
The Local Council of Alhama Addictions Prevention will be responsible for designing the municipal plan that will guarantee and ensure the optimization of social and health resources in the municipality.
Ruiz recalled collaboration with the Association Prosauces fleets, a therapeutic community whose purpose is to serve, advise and inform people who have drug problems.
The CEO concluded that "the Local Council will facilitate and encourage the participation of all stakeholders in prevention and from the different areas of intervention."
