On Saturday December 15, Cehegin held in a ceremony presided over by the Minister of the Presidency, in imposing the medals awarded by Queen Sofia, volunteers and civil defense emergencies in the region of Murcia, with reason for his performance in the sad days spent with the tragic earthquake in Lorca, which occurred last year.
With this important award recognizes the selfless work of these volunteers, who were collaborating with Lorca 24 hours a day helping the victims in all that were required, until the neighboring town of Lorca, was back to normal.
Volunteers from the group of Alhama, turned director with Lorca and Manuel Campos, gave them last Saturday, the award for their efforts and dedication, tucked behind Alhama Mayor Fernando Alfonso Ceron and the Councillor for Civil Protection and Emergency Angela Sanchez.
