On Sunday December 30 took place in the Senior Center contest the traditional Christmas sweets and the recital of carols of the largest groups.
At half past five in the afternoon they met the jury to select the winners from among the sweet handmade presented by the elderly themselves.
Made deliberations the jury chose to deliver the first prize of € 150, to Soledad Rolls Javaloy vinegar, the second prize of 125 euros, was for Anise Rolls Cánovas Francisca, the third prize of 100 euros , was for Coconut Cookies Dolores Gomez.
Finally, the jury decided to award a prize of 100 euros for the best assortment of Isabel Rubio Fuertes.
The awards were presented that evening during the concert of carols by the mayor of Seniors, Maria Carmen Diaz, who also chaired the jury and Councilman Employment and Local Development, Sebastian Moreno, attended the event.
After the recital, which acted Workshop Guitar, Lute and Bandurria Senior Center, the group Cantores de Alhama and the Friends of the Night, those present enjoyed a tasting Christmas sweets, among which were the submitted to the contest, and a glass of cider.
Moreover, and in these days, the biggest have enjoyed other activities at the Senior Center, as dances and New Year's Eve.
