The City Council of Alhama de Murcia, through the Department of Works and Services has managed to solve a longstanding problem in the hamlet of El Cañarico.
His neighbors, for years, claiming that it was coming off the channeling of the boulevard that passes through the hamlet and the rains posed a big problem of flooding.
The City, through its Mayor, negotiated and managed to sign or agreement with the owners of the land needed for channeling.
After this sign, necessary for the work, it was possible that the Segura basin, under the Ministry of Agriculture, initiate channeling works the boulevard after the Department of Works and Services prepare reports and relevant applications.
This will avoid that in the future, several neighbors swamped their homes every time there is heavy rain.
Moreover, this work completes the already made a few months ago to improve the promenade Celada.
