On Friday, February 22, was held in Alhama de Murcia's meeting of the Local Committee on Employment of Upper and Lower Guadalentín, which is done on a rotating basis in the different municipalities of the commission, and they are: Eagles Aledo, Alhama, Librilla, Lorca, Mazarron, Puerto Lumbreras and Totana.
The working session was chaired by A. Gines
Martinez, director general of the SEF, by Fernando Alfonso Ceron, Mayor of Alhama, and Sebastián Moreno, Councillor Training, Employment and Local Development.
Attendees also had councilors and local development officers, directors employment offices of the municipalities included in the Commission, representing the INFO and unions.
By the Director General of SEF is reported on the situation and development of the labor market in the borders of this Commission.
One thing to note is that although unemployment has increased in all municipalities, Alhama de Murcia has been the only municipality in which the number of Social Security members has increased by 82 people in the last year, representing an increase of 0.95, with the highest growth in the sector of industry and services.
Also in Alhama is the only municipality that has grown the number of firms, as these have increased in the past year in 19, which represents an increase of 3.23%, and currently has a total of 608 companies, having increased especially in the service sector and in agriculture.
Regarding municipal actions, Alhama reported measures of Municipal Employment Plan, the industrial sector support is done through the ADL of Industry, funded by the SEF, and the status of projects like the construction of the spa or enhancement of the Casa de la Marina for tourism.
The SEF reported, among other things, on new tools to facilitate labor intermediation, such as e-curriculum and assessment procedure in foreign language skills.
