On February 20 visit the Municipal Archives of the Public School 100 students Espuña courses for 3rd and 4th Primary.
The children were welcomed by the Councillor for Culture and Heritage who showed they will make available municipal schools of cultural and heritage services Consistory to be twofold: to spread the local heritage and the Children and young people are aware of the wealth of the town, the history and heritage of Alhama de Murcia.
The reason for the visit was not other than to implement the work done in class on materials "Municipal Archives of Alhama de Murcia.'s Role in our history" file that provides schools in the locality , to be used for training purposes.
This time the children have worked on the basics booklet entitled "The Journey of Don Document" through which have been seen in a fun way the different phases through which passes the documentation until it gets to File: life cycle documents.
Once in the file, the same course has been implemented, students simulate ask to install a kiosk at your school and can see insitu the aforementioned process.
They also had the opportunity to see some of the oldest documents preserved in the Municipal Archives, and realizing the important work of the Archive in its conservation of the documentation.
In this line of work, on Wednesday February 27, visited the Municipal Archives 50 students from 5 ° Espuña Primary School.
The students visited with activity "Stones also speak ..." the shields of the facades of the City Council, the House of Tercia and Old Town Square and the terms cairn located in the Archaeological Museum of the Baths and the facade of the Church.
As in the previous visit, students have implemented what was studied in class through the materials that the Municipal Archives available to schools for these cases, learning the meaning of the symbols that make up these shields and trying to decipher the inscriptions on some of them.
