The Mayor of Alhama de Murcia, Alfonso Ceron Fernando Morales, along with the mayor of Social Welfare, Maria Carmen Diaz, this morning received a delegation of the Special Committee on Disability of the Regional Assembly.
Specifically, the deputies visited the municipality Violante Thomas, chairman of the committee; Severa González López and Manuel Soler Miras who wanted to see first hand the day center which houses the town.
Accompanied by the mayor, deputies have visited the Day Centre for the Care of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities under 65, the Day Centre for the Elderly and the Early Intervention Service located in the Social Services Centre.
The purpose of these visits is to learn firsthand the work being done day centers and gather proposals.
Furthermore, the initiative is a pioneer in the work done by the various parliaments.
For his part, the mayor and the Social Welfare responsible have taken the opportunity to ask Members to achieve support increasing the number of places in schools.
