The Ministry of Health and Social Policy with the City of Alhama de Murcia and Abraham Project has promoted the development of a sewing workshop in the village destined to a dozen people at risk of social exclusion.
At the closing, which took place yesterday morning, attended by the Mayor of Alhama, Alfonso Morales Fernando Ceron and CEO of Social Policy, Leopoldo Navarro and aldermen of Social Welfare, Maria Carmen Diaz and Environment, Diego Huertas.
The mayor wanted to encourage the students who have participated in the course stressing the importance of learning as a possible tool for both finding work to open your own business.
The course was made possible under the agreement signed between the city, through the Department of Environment and Abraham Project.
A total of ten people have participated in this training that has lasted 40 hours.
In this program, an occupational participants were able to learn basic sewing notions and take action, to stitches, seaming or arrangements, among other tasks.
Finally, Navarro recalled the regional government's commitment to these initiatives and therefore, said that "we collaborate with organizations and associations working against poverty and social exclusion to serve the most vulnerable."
