In late November 2012 launched a film inception workshop aimed at secondary schools in the municipality and led by the Department of Education.
Towards the end of the course, also closes this workshop with a special event which has realized the Minister of Education, Ana Fernandez and David Perea, filmmaker who has taught the course.
Ana Fernandez stated that the closing of the workshop will be held on Friday May 31 at the movie theater at 21.30 Velasco.
The closure, he added, will be the presentation of diplomas to students who have completed the workshop and in the projection of the short film made by the students themselves, entitled "Today for you".
The evening will conclude with a screening of one of the works of Perea titled "Sand Castles".
For its part, the course instructor noted how interesting and special experience.
Also recognized that although the workshop had started a little slowly, the end result has been the opposite.
It highlighted the work done so interesting to see how the students had achieved knowledge about cinema in general, and not only on how to write a script or on different planes that can be taken with the camera, but also things like who was Humphrey Bogart.
In short, the course has proved a cultural education through leisure and especially something as interesting as the film, its intricacies and history.
The consequence of all this is the short film that will be seen in the cinema Velasco and is done entirely by the kids of the institutes Valley Leiva and Miguel Hernandez, from script, to filming and interpretation.
