Through burofax, the Southeastern Association of Naturalists has asked the Directors-General of the Environment and Energy, Industry and Mining to proceed with the immediate stoppage of irregular enlargement of the quarry FULSAN.
Anse claims that the new front farm is in the conservation area supports Regional Park and has produced severe damage to the protected area, which could be a crime against the environment.
A month ago the Association of Southeast Naturalists separate complaints forwarded to the Directorate General for the Environment and the Directorate General for Energy, Industry and Mining informing the quarry expansion FULSAN (Alhama de Murcia).
The same complaint was referred to the Service for the Protection of Nature of the Guardia Civil.
The New Front denounced extraction directly affected the Regional Park El Valle-Carrascoy, and indirectly to the Site of Community Importance of the same name.
This extension would have been made regardless of the work plan approved by the Directorate General of Mines and without making appropriate evaluation of impact on the Natura 2000 network.
Irregular enlargement has irreparably affected area "Conservation Compatible" Regional Park where mining is expressly prohibited under PORN initially approved.
Additionally, the organization requested a copy of the records relating to the operation of the two DGs to clarify the possible responsibilities of this case.
Despite the time elapsed, the quarry expansion continues with irregular at top speed and with the obvious aim of consolidating a new front before PORN recently announced approval of the Governing Board of the Regional Park.
In view of the seriousness of the facts, Anse believes that could be committing a crime against the environment and natural resources crime under Art.
325 and following of the Penal Code, and therefore has sent a burofax the two Directors General with jurisdiction in the matter to proceed to an immediate halt of the expansion of the quarry.
