Carmen Maria Rodriguez, Councillor for Tourism of the municipality of Alhama de Murcia, announced this morning that the website of the Department of Tourism, http://turismo.alhamademurcia.es be available in English, in order to contribute to the promote tourism in the town and meet the needs of residents and English-speaking users.
This website has been created by the company totanera Avatar Internet and is administered by the Office of Tourism through a simple intranet.
Today, through this municipal site can get detailed information about the natural and cultural resources of Alhama, download travel brochures, hiking trails or see the schedule of activities.
The website also provides practical information on accommodation, restaurants and transportation schedules and more.

In 2012 the site received more than 53,000 visits and so far this year have been received 59,119 visitors, representing an average of over 200 visits per day.
With an English translation by the Department expected to increase even more.
