Saturday 5th saw the XXXIV National Folklore Show at the Municipal Auditorium.
Before the festival, it was not until 21.30 pm and finished Chupinazo Proclamation took place in the Meeting Room of the Town Hall reception of the participating groups.
For this, the Mayor of Alhama de Murcia, Alfonso Ceron Fernando Morales, accompanied by the mayor of Culture, Carmen Maria Rodriguez and with almost every member of the government team, received the representatives of each of the groups and made the sharing memories of their municipalities.
The reception ceremony was opened by Pepi Peña, president of Chorus and Dance Group Virgen del Rosario.
Municipal officials shared with Isabel Hurtado interventions, Tomelloso Councilman Celebration, one of the participating groups.
The Festival
Upon receiving and finishing the Proclamation, opened the XXXIV National Folklore Shows attended by the following groups: Grupo Folklorico "Virgen de las Viñas", Tomelloso (Ciudad Real) Folklore Association "City of Lovers" by Teruel, Grupo Folklorico "San Basilio" the orchard Peña "La Parra" (Murcia) and host the Chorus and Dance Group Virgen del Rosario.
The local group decorated a song and dance spectacular scenery, sampling frame, which was represented the municipality thermal water through a fountain.
Also, the start of the festival was a tribute and remembrance to the tradition of thermal water in our town through the words and music.
Finished this little preamble, there was a flag hoisting.
To do this, two members from each of the participating groups took the stage to raise their flag.
The arm of a member of the Chorus and Dance Virgen del Rosario, rose the Councillor for Culture and Heritage, Carmen Maria Rodriguez, who was in charge of raising the flag of the town.
Finished this formal ceremony started dancing to the delight of lovers of tradition and folklore.
