The regional government allocated 213,000 euros annually to the Centre for Rehabilitation of Drug Addicts 'Fleets'
The CEO of Citizen Services and Addictions, Juan Manuel Ruiz, praised the "proactive" of users of Drug Addicts Rehabilitation Center 'Fleets' who participated in the recording of the film 'The fate of Ulysses', Director of Murcia David Perea, noting the effort and showing interest in their recovery.
The next Friday, January 24th, at 20:30 at the Teatro Cine Velasco of Alhama de Murcia, will be the premiere of the film 'The fate of Ulysses', according to Ruiz in the press conference in which he was accompanied by the local mayor, Fernando Alfonso Ceron, the Councillor for Health of the City Council, Ana Fernández, as well as the regional technical coordinator of Drug Dependence of the Ministry of Health and Social Policy, Juan Jimenez.
After the screening, the Consistory of Alhama de Murcia will forward a series of awards to various individuals and organizations working to prevent drug addiction.
Thus, it will distinguish the Directorate General of Citizen and Drug Dependency Unit and the Pediatric Environmental Health General Hospital Universitario Virgen de la Arrixaca.
Also, the role played by the therapeutic community 'Fleets' and the centers of the town of Valle de Leiva ESO and the Miguel Hernández, and by the Foundation of Food Workers ElPozo be distinguished.
The CEO noted that the Center for Rehabilitation of Drug Addicts 'Fleets' has been running for over 20 years, noting that in 2013 served 320 patients and family members, a figure that rose to 270 in 2012.
This therapeutic community, which the Ministry of Health and Social Policy annually allocates 213,000 euros, has seven professionals and trained volunteers to provide individualized assistance throughout the process of detoxification and rehabilitation of drug addicts.
In total, there are 21 places for drug addicts care of which 17 are subsidized by the regional government and 4 are private for those who wish to leave addiction to drugs such as alcohol or cocaine.
Ruiz explained that this therapeutic community four programs working to develop treatment: boarding, on an outpatient basis, for maintenance therapy for former patients and family treatment group using the Matrix Model.
