The People's Party of Alhama de Murcia, in the regular assessment made February plenary session, wants to join the unanimous recognition given to the professional work of Elizabeth Provencio Sevilla for many years in our town and congratulates the Municipal Corporation for having approved this motion.

We regret that this motion, which distinguishes a person to bring life into the world, contrast with that presented the two groups of the Opposition, now go hand in hand, asking for removal of the abortion bill, wanting to prevent further their parliamentary procedure, which will be promoted, as has declared the Prime Minister himself, a dialogue with the other political forces in order to achieve the broadest possible consensus in the regulation of such a sensitive issue as this, which aims to combine the rights of the mother with the rights of the unborn child, as there are two conflicting rights and none of them should prevail over the other without justification, as established by the Constitutional Court on three occasions (1985, 1996, 1999).
In our game we can not agree with the request of these groups in his motion, calling for a new law "that allows women to terminate their pregnancies at the time and for the reasons you want, no restrictions, no limits and no guardianships ".
That is called free abortion.
On the other hand changing business and positively consider the proposal to develop a municipal inventory of trails in the sake of protecting and conserving them, as well as a year, the proposal of the Department of Women to commemorate 8 March as International Women's Day, reiterating the commitment of our City to continue working on the promotion of measures to achieve equality between men and women and the elimination of violence against women, urging other governments to you to do the and equip these same budgetary policies, to be a real equality gotten right.
What we find deplorable is that opposition groups seize this point to release his demagogic anti-PP, about cuts in this area, being in evidence at the news of the closure of the Centre for Women in Ciudad Real, by part of the Provincial governed by the Socialists, who renders assistance to 30,000 women, many of whom are victims of gender violence.

For if from the municipalities do not have skills and education, for instance, there is no need to be paying maintenance costs (electricity, heating, cleaning, janitors ..) and other minor works at a local primary school.
