The Firehouse Alhama-Totana will be expanded and remodeled.
This reflects the efforts made by the Mayor with the Ministry of Presidency.
On Tuesday, Mayor of Alhama de Murcia, Fernando Alfonso Ceron, along with the mayor of Public Safety, Angela Sanchez, accompanied the manager of the Consortium for Fire Fighting, Mariano Sanchez firehouse.
There, guided by the professionals visited the facility and listened to their views.
The manager of the consortium, who earlier held a meeting with the mayor at City Hall of the Consistory, announced that the building would be remodeled and expanded.
The representative of the Ministry of Presidency stated that it would begin the process to start work as soon as possible.
Moreover, Mariano Sanchez revealed that there will by this entity to provide this fire station with a fireman's service.
Currently three shifts are professionals.
The Mayor of Alhama de Murcia, Fernando Alfonso Ceron, accompanied by the mayor of Public Safety, Angela Sanchez, moved to the capital last week where they were received by the Minister of the Presidency, Manuel Campos, after representatives Firehouse visit the mayor to put out the needs of the fire station.
The visit was aimed at the demand of various issues concerning the town, including the improvement and expansion of Fire Station Alhama, Totana.
The mayor highlighted the responsibility of the Consortium for Fire Fighting in the Region of Murcia the need to improve various aspects of the park given the significant risk of fire in the natural park during the summer, and even more in years drought like the present.
Counsel's response was totally positive and supportive.
So much so that a meeting between the mayor and the manager of the Consistory of the Consortium for Fire Fighting, Mariano Sanchez was set to visit the park and along the trade professionals, try, as far as possible, seek improvements service.
