The People's Party of Alhama de Murcia wishes to express its support for the proposal from the Community Irrigation Alhama, making use of the Statute of Citizen Participation, has been present at the last plenary.

Since we are pleased that our party entities and groups make use of participatory tools that the government team has started demonstrating its willingness to facilitate the participation of residents in public life, regulating the intervention of neighbors and associations plenary sessions and other measures such as the newly developed participatory budgeting.

That said, we support the community of irrigators in its proposal to request the Ministry of Agriculture and the Directorate General of Water urgent financial allowance in order to undertake the project of additional works for the construction of a raft of regulation 175,000 m3 of irrigation pipe T-1, draft water infrastructure sectors III and IV of the irrigation area Guadalentin Valley, with the technical and environmental approval and is lack of financial allocation from the end 2012, due to lack of financial resources for the past 2 years.

We agree with the irrigation community need for this regulatory reservoir, to ensure continuous water supply to the network and prevent further damage caused by direct channel outlet.

Another point last Plenary in May, was the initial approval of a new municipal regulation of honors and awards, to replace the approved in January 1992, and regulations began to take shape in the last term and this team government has completed for presentation to plenary, seeking review of the local board of Citizen Participation and consensus of all political groups, in order to regulate the procedure for our City can bestow honors and awards to different personalities, institutions and entities, as a reward for special merit or extraordinary services to the municipality.

So the titles and distinctions made are the favorite child, adopted child, honorary mayor, medal of honor, official chronicler, coat of gold and silver and dedication of streets, squares, gardens, public buildings and monuments.

Furthermore the Governing Board may grant special mention of appreciation or gratitude to individuals or groups on a proposal from the council of the Corporation.

So we feel good that this regulation is updated, giving it greater participation in proposals made since the procedure may be initiated either on his own initiative or at the request of the mayor of one third of the Members, or in connection with the Corporation reasoned request of a government agency, entity or reasoned proposal of the Board of Citizenship or even a partnership, ratified by at least four other associations.

Finally we express our satisfaction with the fact that both documents point were unanimously approved by all local groups.
