The Minister of Education, Culture and Universities, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, attended today the delivery of quality certificate CAF Education Leiva Valley Institute of Alhama de Murcia Secondary School, this public school being the first one to get from Spain.

Together with the local mayor, Fernando Alfonso Ceron, and the director of the Agency for Quality Assessment and Ministry of Finance and Public Administration, Ana Ruiz, who gave this recognition, the Minister of Education said, "This milestone for the education system regional and national audience.'s work to get this recognition proves the excellent performance that makes this center to benefit the educational community and is part of the strategy of the Ministry '+ Educational Quality + School Success.' The Common Assessment Framework (CAF) is a tool of total quality management, developed by and for the public sector and inspired by the Excellence Model of the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM).

It aims to improve the performance of education and training institutions by introducing a culture of continuous improvement towards excellence and evaluation.

Currently, 37 schools in the region who are working with the Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities in the implementation of this quality system.

These centers have a consultant assigned to advise them throughout the process.

They also have a web platform where content and materials are housed.

In addition, over 800 teachers have been trained to work on the implementation of these systems to achieve excellence in their centers.

Pedro Antonio Sánchez concluded that "an important part of the work done is the continuous self-evaluation through the CAF Education Excellence Model, which is a tool for improvement, change and innovation center.
