On Monday morning was presented by a press conference, the thirtieth of Bands Festival to be held in the evening of next Friday, October 3 at the Velasco 21'30h Cinema.
In this special edition of the festival will be the guest band Band of Moratalla Cultural Association, acting by the musical group of Alhama de Murcia.
To introduce this special issue present were Councillor for Culture and Heritage, Carmen Maria Rodriguez, director of the School of Music, José Antonio García Ayala and president of the Musical Association of Alhama, José Antonio Gómez.
Carmen Maria Rodriguez recalled that "the School of Music has more than thirty years playing a fundamental role in the cultural activities of Alhama de Murcia" and therefore wanted to publicly thank its director, "his great work over the years."
He also added that during this time both the School, as Musical Agupación have been involved in all cultural and social events of Alhama in which their presence was requested.
José Antonio Gómez, president of the Musical Association of Alhama, said this year's competition band is a tribute to the members and the Board, "the current and all who have gone through it," he added.
So made a special appeal to "everyone who has been part of the Association be given appointment next Friday, October 3, at Velasco Cinema to celebrate this concert so personal."
Gomez also had a word of thanks to all the sponsors companies over the years have worked with the band festival, "and of course thank the musicians their selfless dedication, as they are the true protagonists of this event."
Finally, José Antonio Gómez said before the event a selection of photos to celebrate and remember the history of this Festival of Bands already part of the Feria de Alhama de Murcia is projected.
The last speaker was the director of the School of Music in Alhama de Murcia, José Antonio Ayala, who recalled that "throughout these 30 years have gone through this festival 64 music bands", many of the Region Murcia and as many outside.
Ayala said the Festival of Bands in Alhama de Murcia is one of the oldest in the Region of Murcia, consolidated thanks to the joint efforts of Alhama de Murcia and musicians and professionals from the Music School of Alhama.
In his speech, José Antonio Ayala explained that such festivals are possible, in part, thanks to the collaboration that exists between the different bands, "costs between the different bands are shared and exchanged invitations to perform in various festivals of localities. "
Repertoire of the bands
Ayala has been commissioned to move us what will be the code that both bands will perform in this 30 Bands Contest.

José Antonio Ayala wanted to emphasize showmanship and difficulty of this issue, since flamenco is especially difficult to interpret for a symphonic band.
"This issue will feature several solos and dueling guitar and saxophone," Ayala has qualified.
The concert will end with a rendition of "Song of Alhama" J. Miralles by the musical group of Alhama de Murcia.
