The City of Alhama de Murcia, through the Department of Education, Employment and Local Development has initiated the Joint Training "Jardines de Alhama" which will occupy 12 people for a year while receiving training Employment Program.
This morning the mayor of the Consistory, Fernando Alfonso Ceron, accompanied by the Councillor for Education, Employment and Local Development, Sebastian Moreno, received the team of people that make up this initiative promoted by the regional, national and local government.
The 12 students selected, all unemployed are between 25 and 55, and are mostly women, one of the groups with the greatest problems when entering the labor market, which programs of this kind, in which theoretical training combined with professional practices.
This was highlighted Cerón Morales who stressed that this is a great opportunity for students to because, once completed the course, may have job opportunities.
Meanwhile, the head of Training and Employment explained that during the year covered by the program, learning and skills alternating with productive work in activities of public or social interest enabling insertion through the professionalization and acquisition experience of participants.
In this case, the formation correspond to the specialty professional certificate "Installation and Maintenance of Gardens and Green Spaces", and practices are implemented through improvement and maintenance tasks in various parks and gardens of the town, as the Palm, Paco Rabal, The Americas, slope of the Castle and Avda. Antonio Fuertes.
The total number of hours the workshop amounts to 1,920, of which 390 hours correspond to theoretical and practical training and 1,530 h.
cash working as a professional practice, developed over 12 months with a 40-h working week.
To impart this specialty gardening, the program has a specialized instructor and a coordinator to support and plan all work and provide additional training modules are: prevention of occupational hazards, computer literacy, environmental awareness, social economy, equality gender and resources to finding and improving employment.
The student-workers receive a corresponding salary one hundred percent of the minimum wage, including the proportional part of two extra payments.
The project is valued at € 175,419 and is fully funded by the Regional Employment and Training CARM, the Ministry of Employment and Social Security and the European Social Fund.
This grant is intended mainly for salaries of students and staff and faculty coordinator and part to materials needed for course development.
