The Department of Culture of the City of Alhama de Murcia has been postponed to May 31 final jury meeting of the XV Literary Short Story Contest Alfonso Martinez Mena, who have presented 1810 accounts.
The awards ceremony will take place on Friday, June 5 in the Plenary Hall of the local Town Hall at 21.00.
This contest began in 2001 with the sponsorship of the great alhameño writer Alfonso Martinez-Mena, in which 175 participated stories;
and in 2012 he passed the thousand stories of participation, coming in the last edition of 2014-1546 stories presented.
The Short Story Contest Alfonso Martinez-Mena is already established in most Spanish-speaking places, the name of Alhama de Alhama de Murcia, associated with the Short Story Competition, appears in the different continents.
A first prize of 3,000 euros and a second prize of 1,500 euros is awarded.
