This morning the Councillor for Social Services, Felipe García, and the coordinator of the Center for Psychosocial Care, Mariví Guirao, presented the acts that will be performed by World Mental Health Day, commemorated each year on 10 October.
From 19 to October 30 The Granary building houses the 6th edition of the exhibition Zangamanga.
The opening will be on Monday 19 at 20.00 and it can be seen that the work performed in the different workshops of the center.
"From City of Alhama bet for some years by the Psychosocial Care Center, where currently 22 neighbors made all kinds of support activities intended to facilitate personal autonomy and improved social integration," noted Councilman.
In the center of art therapy practice through paintings, drawings and material recycling.
They also perform various workshops, such as related to daily life that allow better development in the tasks of these students skills, practice reading and discussion as exercise oral communication technique.
Outside the center participate in sports activities in the municipal swimming pool and trips, assist in the tents of associations and have their own space in the organic gardens, where they grow all kinds of vegetables.
Since 2012 the magazine published "Zangamanga" which gives its name to this exhibition.
"The best way to eliminate prejudice is that society knows directly the reality of people with mental illness, we need to understand that it is a health problem like any other and that at some point we may happen to any of us or our families, "emphasized Felipe Garcia.
The events will conclude on 30 with a panel discussion at 20.00 in the Archaeological Museum Los Baños entitled "Arts in psychosocial rehabilitation alternatives."
