The Minister of Water, Agriculture and Environment, Adela Martinez-Cache, met with the mayor of Alhama de Murcia, Diego Conesa, to inform improvement works under the sanitation of the villages of Gebas and watercress within the actions proposed in the recovery plan II being drafted the Ministry.
Both governments also carried out joint projects in natural areas of the municipality, the Sierra Espuña Carrascoy and, as the arrangement and asphalting of roads, population control of arruí to minimize damage to agriculture and pest control in drillers public forests.
In addition, the Ministry is working with hoteliers, entrepreneurs and the Commonwealth Tourism Espuña to develop actions under the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism.
Finally, the minister said he also agreed to work in coordination on the Site of Community Importance (SCI) 'Saladares Guadalentín', a saline wetland formed by a set of salt marsh fragments aligned around the channels of the river Guadalentín Rambla de Las Salinas with an area of ​​2,035 hectares, with elongated shape and a north-south length of 14.5 kilometers.
