Alhama cemetery is privately owned, belonging to the Catholic Church.
It is managed by a Governing Board that our City is not a member, but believes that it should be and so I move.
Recently, the Board decided to dispense with the services of Juan Martinez "The Undertaker" as manager of the cemetery, after 40 years of service.
The City understands that the dismissal of an employee is always bad news.
The relationship with John Hall, a well known and loved in Alhama person was of warmth and closeness.
About the dispute with the Governing Board of the cemetery, both the mayor and the government team have shown their willingness to run any mediator between the parties or their lawyers.
The City respects, as can not be otherwise, the right to demonstrate of this Platform, while calls for the development of a civil and orderly manner.
Likewise, he regrets some demonstrations, both verbal and written, that have tried to involve the City Council in this decision.
