Last weekend (12 and 13 April) the Department of Pedanías made a trip to Jaen, Ubeda and Baeza in which 45 people participated.
The journey began with a tour of Baeza (which together with Úbeda were declared a few years ago, a World Heritage Site by UNESCO), among others visiting the cathedral and the old university where he was lecturing Antonio Machado, and then move on to lunch Jaén and make the afternoon a visit to the old, cultural and monumental city, visiting the cathedral and the Palace of Villadonpardo with bathrooms the Arab era.
Sunday morning was followed by a theatrical tour of the city of Ubeda.
The curious thing about these tours is that, along the route, a guide was explaining the monuments visited, appearing personages of the time it dramatized anecdotes and historical moments, while visiting the Palacio de San Francisco de los Cobos the Sacra Capilla del Salvador and the Palace of Manueles among others.
After lunch we proceeded to return to the town, which was reached in the evening with a pleasant memory of the Renaissance Weekend.
