Alhama City Council through the Department of Social Policy points out that from August until Friday, September 5, is open in order to claim the meals at home, this service is the allocation of home-delivered meals daily, a specialist firm, for all those people with limited personal autonomy, so they can have a proper diet, eat mostly warm and healthy.
The recipients of this service are people over 60 years and / or affected by a disability equal to or above 65%, also those at risk of social exclusion, living in Alhama de Murcia, all with 6 months notice the request of the Service.
The total cost of this service once funded by the Autonomous Community and the city of Alhama is $ 2 per meal.
It is also recalled that on September 19 is the deadline to apply for the course for caregivers, this course organized by the Department of Social Policy is aimed at all those caregivers of dependent people and has as main goal to help these people in their work daily, explaining entertaining and practical behaviors, attitudes and other doubts that arise in day to day care of the elderly.
The dates that this course will be held on 25 September and 2, 9 and 16 October at 17:00 hours to 19:30 hours in the audiovisual room of the Municipal Library.
This course is funded by the region and is completely free.
