From 12 to October 18, 2008, Alhama will celebrate the Fourth Filmmaking Course, organized by the University of Murcia and the town of Alhama de Murcia.
To report this, the mayor of the Department of Culture, Jesus Basauri and course director, university professor Juan Francisco Cerón, have made this morning a press conference where teachers have also participated in the course Juan Carlos Martinez and David Perea .
It is reported that thanks to this course, a maximum of forty students from all over Spain will spend a week in Alhama de Murcia in a short workshop.
At the end, the short films will be screened.
In 2005, initiated by the course director, Juan Francisco Ceron, born on course at his hometown, Alhama.
Since then it has become a point of e ind for students in Spain interested in film practice.
Over its first three seasons have been shot six films, some of which have been selected in various festivals and have even received awards clinch.

Juan Carlos Martinez, PhD cum laude in Communication Studies.
Filmmaker, photographer and producer with extensive experience in the field of documentary and short film whose work has won numerous awards in national and international specialized festivals.
He has taught at the Polytechnic University of Valencia and the Univer sity of Murcia, as well as film critic in various media.
David Perea, actor and film director and theater.
He made his first feature, Essence, in 1998 with full production Murcia.
Since then he has participated in numerous projects forming part of the technical and the artistic TEAM.
He has worked as assistant director and actor in the Spanish-British feature Leone (Paul Sherwood, 2008) and as director and actor in the TV series Historical Murcia (Moon of Ithaca, 2008).

In the "Introduction to production" Juan Francisco Ceron, Actor and Professor of Film History at the University of Murcia.
As course director, has produced six short films made to date.

Bachelor of Communication Studies and one of the most important filmmakers of the Region of Murcia.
The class "The director and actor" Fuensanta Lopez, an actress with a degree in drama from the ESAD Murcia and Film Master in Interpretation by the Madrid Film Institute.
The class "Written and directed by Xavi Puebla, Director and Screenwriter.
Opted for a Goya for best short film in 2004 with Friday, and this year released the film Welcome to Farewell-Gutman, who won two awards at the Spanish Film Festival in Malaga.

Tuition, amounting to 300 euros, includes hostel accommodation on full board.
In the same period and at enrollment, if requested scholarship, a copy of the declaration of the re nta and transcripts.
The fellowships, consisting of total or partial exemption from the registration fee will be applied by the Commission on Selection and Evaluation of the course and its resolutions shall be communicated to applicants personally.
