The morning of Saturday 27 September, about 40 environmental volunteers moved from their homes to the Rambla Celada to participate in the environmental campaign "Clean Up the World 2008" which was also attended by the local mayor, Juan Romero Canovas and Councilman City Council Environment, José Miguel Muñoz.
This activity included people of all ages, from children 8 years until retirement and although the majority were volunteers from the village also participated in various parts of the Region as Sangonera, Mazarron, Totana, head of Torres and Murta.
Each volunteer gave him a T-shirt, hat and gloves.
To organize the activity, the volunteers were divided into two groups, one that wiped from the bridge down and the other from the bridge up.
The total waste collected was: 3500 and 1500 kilos of debris kilos between paper, plastic, cardboard, furniture, etc ...
