On Tuesday, September 30, opened the X Competition Exhibition Ornithological by the local mayor, Juan Romero Canovas, accompanied by the Councillor for Culture and Heritage, Jesus Basauri Mendez and Council Member of Celebration, Maria Elena Marín Cánovas.
This traditional contest 2 years ago was not celebrated as a precaution because of bird flu that was sweeping the Spanish population during those years.
In the exhibition there are over 700 copies which are divided into 88 ranges and varieties.
All these birds were submitted by 63 participants, coming mostly from the town and various parts of the Region, and other neighboring provinces of Alicante and Almeria.
The birds were divided awarded for various categories and within each category were 3 awards, 1, 2 and 3.
We have also included 6 special prizes: Color team, individual color, position of equipment, individual position, and exotic alien individual per team.
The exhibition is open until Oct. 4 at the Main Building Hotel-Restaurant "Victoria" in the Avenida Ginés Campos n º 25, with Manzano pet store.
