On Friday, October 17th was held the II Feria de Alhama Urban Mile "in the municipality, an activity organized by the City Council through the Sports Department.
Prizes awarded to winners were presented by the local mayor, Juan Romero Canovas and council Basauri Jesus Mendez and Jose Lopez Nuñez.
This event, which was suspended above atmospheric grounds, was a great success of participation with over 600 entries.
The race took place on a circuit through the streets Constitution Avenue, Rambla Don Diego and Thomas More, to complete the total 1609 meters.
In this edition, completed the test a total of 453 runners at youth level and 43 adults.
The overall winner of the test was the resident Moroccan athlete Hamid El Mouaziz grenade with a time of 4 minutes 23 seconds, becoming the first local runner David González Hernández.
In the senior women's winner was Khaija Baghay, the first local athlete to reach the goal, Serafina Pérez Martínez.
