A year and since 2006, the City of Alhama will subsidize textbooks for schoolchildren in the municipality.
The Councillor for Education, Jose Miguel Muñoz, realized this morning from the yards on the regulatory basis and the call for economic aid to purchase textbooks for students who are studying Early Childhood Education, Primary and Secondary Education in schools in Alhama de Murcia for 2008/2009.
The mayor reminded City Council that aid began in 2006, and that helps account for the Consistory a great effort over 100,000 euros.
The beneficiaries of this grant will be the parents or guardians of schoolchildren in the municipality with the right to participate in this competition, provided they meet the requirements of this statute.
Applications will be excluded from the call for not meeting the requirements are:
a) The applications whose bill includes the amount of any materials other than official textbooks for the courses set for Nursery, Primary and Secondary of the town of Alhama de Murcia.
b) The parents' requests of 1, 2 and 3 Primary and 1 º and 2 º ESO who have obtained or have been requesting the voucher book of the Autonomous Community of Murcia.
c) Requests for parents of secondary school students who have received scholarship from the Ministry of Education, whether it is sufficient to cover the cost of the books specified in the invoice.
If the price stated on the invoice books exceed 100 € scholarship, students have the right to request the difference between the 100 € and the amount stated on the invoice, and a maximum of 60 €.
d) Requests for parents of repeaters to keep the books of the previous year.
The deadline for applications will be twenty working days from next Monday, October 27.
Such applications and databases can be found in both the City and in the Department of Education, located in the Training and Employment Centre in Avenida Ginés Campos, 56 A from Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 13:00 h.

Along with the application form is accompanied by the following documents:
a) Original invoice or certified copy issued by the expression library of the total amount of textbooks (excluding any other school), on behalf of the applicant for the grant, stating the name of the student receiving the same.
b) The application form shall include the account number where you enter the amount of the grant.
The owner of this account is the same as the applicant.
c) Affidavit does not fall into any of the circumstances of Article General Grant.
d) Photocopy of DNI, NIE or Passport of the applicant, all in force.
The grant will cover the amount in the invoice submitted, together with the application and the following maximum amounts:
- Early Childhood Education Students: 80 €.
- Primary Students: 110 €
- Compulsory Secondary Education students: 160 €.
Moreover, Muñoz reported that the aid is included in the 2009 budget, so the amounts will begin to pay at the beginning of the first quarter of next year.
