About sixty citizens of the municipality moved to Murcia on Saturday, October 25, for reasons cultural trip to the exhibition "Floridablanca 1728/1808.
The reformist utopia ", an activity that was within the cultural programming of October organized by the city of Alhama through the Department of Culture and Heritage.
This exhibition recalls, through drawings, documents, paintings, porcelain, books, jewelry and sculptures, the birth of the Count of Floridablanca, the family and the first studies in Murcia and Orihuela, years as a lawyer in court, and initiation of political activity, the appointment as ambassador to Rome and later to obtain the title of Count of Floridablanca, his years as Prime Minister, the profound political and administrative reforms, economic and educational held, scientific and artistic policy and role as protector of the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando.
Also discloses further drop and withdrawal Floridablanca in Murcia, years of imprisonment in the citadel of Pamplona, real forgiveness, return to politics in the Central Board of Murcia and the Central Supreme Council and his death in Sevilla in 1808.
The exhibition is on display at the Centro Cultural Las Claras and San Esteban de Murcia from September 22 to December 8, 2008.
