To report the draft Councillor for the Environment, José Miguel Muñoz, has appeared before the media explaining that this is an initiative to collect books and educational materials that will be reused in schools and social centers for Spanish-speaking countries.
The overall project goal is international cooperation and the promotion of sustainable development that contributes to growth and progress of developing countries, through the reuse of materials, revealing Ecoparks Network of Murcia.
Last year twenty-one municipalities joined in the first edition of the book project and were placed collection boxes in schools, public libraries, government buildings, community centers and in the same municipalities.
The direct beneficiaries of these books were more than 50,000 children in impoverished areas of Peru, Nicaragua and Paraguay., That is why what the mayor has encouraged the rest of the municipalities in the region to participate in this solidarity project.
The local citizens can help in two ways, leading to the collection point nearest the books or materials or environmental volunteer selection and classification of reusable and recyclable material.
