On the 5th of December is International Volunteer Day every year as the city of Alhama through the Social Policy Department has scheduled a series of activities to commemorate this day.
The councilman of Social Policy, Fina García, held a press conference to report on these activities and wanted to thank first hand the work of volunteers and municipal associations without receiving anything in return give their time and effort in the form of affection the needy and disadvantaged.
The mayor also appealed to the town of Alhama to participate in these events scheduled.
The activities begin on 30 November with the introduction in the Plaza of the Constitution of several informational booths from 10 to 13:30 hours.
During the days will be a series of activities such as tea tasting Saharawi a typical Khaimah Sahara, organized by the association of friends of the Saharawi people, leisure activities for children, organized by the Scouts and an awareness workshop, ADAM organized by the association.
Also held a roundtable with COPE Espuña with the participation of all local associations.
On Tuesday December 2 activities continue with a workshop organized by the association Amite, titled "Communicate well to feel better" to be in the House of Culture at 20:30.
On Wednesday December 3 will hold another talk, this time organized by Alcoholics Anonymous at 20:00 pm in the Assembly Hall of the Residence Virgen del Rosario.
On Friday December 5 dinner will be a relationship in which the prize will be given to voluntary solidarity will be at 21:00 pm in Room Goya.
ADAM The association has organized an exhibition of ceramics, the course "and pearly ceramic crafts" that have made this summer, will be on display from 6 to 11 December in the House of Culture.
To complete these activities within the day of volunteering, there will be a course titled "How to listen to me, as I hear, this course will begin on January 26 and continue on 2, 9, 16 and 23 February 2009, 17:00 to 20:00 pm in the Municipal Library.
