The City of Alhama de Murcia in the departments of Women and Employment and Intergenerational Solidarity collaborated with Coag-ir in the implementation and development of Gerontological Training Course.
This course was opened on 27 November by Councillor Local Employment and Development, Jose Lopez, Senior Council Member, Soledad Tudela.
The course aims to improve care for dependent older people and the situation of carers and carers, offering training opportunities to those who perform this task and those who are seeking employment in order to improve the chances access to work.
Teachers will Fuensanta Cascales, social psychologist and head of Coag-ir Murcia, and Jaime Moreno, social worker and gerontologist.
This course started on 27 November and runs until December 15, will run for 60 hours and be held at the Training and Employment Centre from 9am to 14 hours.
The number of participants is 23.
Given the high interest that has led this training activity, is planning a new edition next year, of course with the collaboration of Intergenerational Solidarity and Coag-ir Murcia, whom the City Council welcomes the initiative to develop this action in the municipality .
The course is free and is funded by the Ministry for Social Policy and the European Social Fund.
