In April 2007 the Mayor of Alhama, Juan Romero Canovas, received from the Minister of Culture, Pedro Alberto Cruz, many historical documents of the municipality restored thanks to the initiative and technology for such counseling.
Since then, the mayor of the municipality announced that the valuable documents would be publicly exposed for the enjoyment of alhameños.
This exhibition opened at the Archaeological Museum of Los Banos on Thursday 23 and remain open until 8 February with the same schedule of visits to the museum opening.
With the title "The role of our history," the Municipal Archives documents restored XVI century "in the exhibit shows the following writings:

Accompanying documents panels restored, among others, the Chapter Acts book where you can observe the regulations for the fortification, defense and security of the town of Alhama in connection with the War of Independence, which last year completed its two hundredth anniversary, and pitted Spain against Napoleon's army.
Its origin lies in the popular uprising in Madrid on 2 May.
Other panels are also referring to the parties of Alhama, The Golden Calf (collection of papers dedicated to the rights, property and administration of the villages that were the Marquis of Los Vélez which included the Lordship of Alhama ) etc ...
