Councillor for Sports, Jesus Basauri, accompanied by the Regional Chair Chess Federation, Antonio Gallego, and the President of Chess Club Alhama, José Abellán, presented the XV Regional Chess Championship to be held on 1 , 8 and 15 March in the Sports Pavilion in the town from 8:30 to 15:00.

With this new project presented by the Chess Federation of the Region of Murcia is intended to come to our town the best players in the sport.

It is estimated that this championship will involve some 250 competitors in 6 categories.

Can participate in this championship players and players born in 1991 and subsequent federal license in force.

The registration period is until Thursday, February 26.
