The town has enjoyed another year of Rice contest organized by the city of Alhama through the Department of Celebration and in conjunction with the Rock Pomathlon.
This contest was held on Friday, May 1 at the fairgrounds in the town and after tasting the 27 dishes presented, the jury unanimously decided to award the following prizes, awarded by the local mayor, Juan Romero Canovas Celebrations and Councilwoman, Maria Elena Marín:
The first prize of 100 euros and a trophy to the plate presented by Ursula Carrasco Toledo.
The second prize went to Rosario Melgarejo consisting of 60 euros and a trophy.
The third prize was awarded to the Confraternity of Santa Maria Magdalena, consisting of 30 euros and a trophy.
You presented an award-Tribute to "Diego Vest" the dish better presented, which ran from the hand of his two sons Peter and Fiona, was a trophy and went to Jose Gerardo Romero Sevilla.
