Last weekend, the town hosted the XXI edition of Spain's Federations Cup Combined Events Athletics.
This sporting event took place in the athletic facilities Guadalentín Complex from 10:00 to 21:00 on both days, Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 May.
The alhameño, Alfonso Fernández Balsas, was ranked 4th in the decathlon with a total of 6728 points.
Cristina Bárcena Catalan athlete, he was just ten points from the record of Spain's heptathlon, 5,852 points to make.
