Technology Center and Plastic Footwear (CETEC) on the industrial estate "Las Salinas" de Alhama and belonging to the Network of Technological Centres in the Region of Murcia, promoted by the Ministry of Universities, Business and Research, through Development Institute, is leading a project from Murcia InnoEmpresa supra, submitted to the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade, which involves companies Huelva, Albacete and Murcia itself, designed to develop and implement a software tool that optimizes the serial manufacturing shoes, because many times, changes and customizations requested by customers regarding the models originally designed for the manufacturer pose a significant added expense.
Thus, CETEC has been working with the Association of Footwear Manufacturers of Valverde del Camino (Huelva) and third-Almansa, Alhama, Yecla and Caravaca, for a total of twenty-two participating companies, in order to possible changes in the design of a collection does not involve having to physically do the new models, but through software, the manufacturer can make changes, and calculate the cost differential to see if it meets your customer, without be incurred in developing new models, thus saving.
The software will automatically update the price to make the changes, and now a manufacturer does not know what it will cost to introduce the new product after modifications which did not count.
On the part of Murcia, there are nine companies that have gone into this project, which tailors the design and update the prices to customers who wish to make changes in the footwear produced in the new collections, and have been introduced previously references and materials that can be used as elements of production, allowing manufacturers to quickly introduce both the visual image of change as the new cost.
All this represents a breakthrough in the footwear industry, because so far not had a similar respect and companies should divert significant financial items and manufacturing resources to physically enter changes, even at the risk that the customer does not the new offer to be increased the amount.
