Coinciding with the 2009 Triathlon Day on Saturday, June 28, is held in the locality, I Triathlon Popular Villa de Alhama, Guadalentín Sports Complex.

To present this sporting event have appeared before the media Councillor for Sports, Jesus Basauri, the president of the Triathlon Murcia, Diego Calvo, president of the club and the town "Trialhama" Santiago Balseiro, reporting Details of this competition which includes 3 different sports and is a young sport but increases in participation.

The aim is to introduce the sport in the town to be the 1 st triathlon that will take place in the locality.

For the categories of juvenile, infant and cadet down distances of 150 meters.

and 1 km, and for the categories of Junior U23, and Veterans Absolute distances are of 300 mtrs, 8 kms and 2 kms.

Checking out is for children at 9:30 pm, but after 8:00 am can be picked up the lats, and from 10:00 hours will be held out for adults.

Following the competition will be a drawing for gifts and awards, awarding a medal to the first 3 categories of adult and a medal to all child participants.
