Joint note of the three opposition groups:
Municipal Budget In 2009, 611.54.432 heading provides for the preparation of the Garden of the Ducks and Street Fair, with a budget of € 597,602.67 € 473,260.06 which are paid by the City of Alhama de Murcia Almost 80% of the total.
On June 4, 2008 the Association for the Study and Defense of the Espua, APEDSE, requested by letter to input registration No 7456, holding a briefing on the proposed refurbishment of the Garden Plaza de los Patos.
It expressed, among other issues, which were taken into account the proposals of associations, citizen groups and residents in general and to be given written transfer referred to different political groups of the Municipal Corporation.
The Councillor for Planning, dated June 30, 2008, gave us transfer of this writing, asking us to date to make the meeting.
Since the opposition groups have not put any obstacle to the requested meeting took place, moreover, on several occasions and in different plenary we asked when would take place.
Almost a year later, in May 2009, several meetings were held to some of the information which we have had occasion to attend.
In the last plenary session on 27 May and, following statements made by the Mayor, asked about the impact it would have on the draft prepared for the redevelopment of the Garden of the Ducks, the meetings.
In his statements Mr. Mayor, says that is a project that comes from the previous legislature, which must be approached and have all the world, but would come out different approaches, all very respectable, but very difficult to serve.
El Jardin de los Patos is a landmark of Alhama since its construction in the early 50's.
Many generations have enjoyed alhameos this space located in the heart of our town, and is part of our recent collective memory.
On Friday June 12, met in the garden many alhameos to show their displeasure with the sketch submitted by the Municipal Government.
In addition, we are currently collecting signatures for the development of a new project, finding a great support from the public because only in the early days were collected over two thousand signatures.
Therefore we ask:
1.-The suspension of proceeding to carry out the current project.
2.-The creation of a political and social commitment to try to agree on a new project that satisfies the majority.
This commission should be composed of representatives of different political groups and stakeholders on this issue, such as APEDSE or newly formed platform.
3.-open a peaceful dialogue process by the government team within the commission to try to agree on the elements that must remain in the garden, always respecting the classic hallmarks of this garden and woodland.
