The local mayor, Juan Romero Canovas, and the president of the Association of Trade in Alhama de Murcia, Diego Huerta, have signed an agreement in which the City agrees to cooperate in improving and sustaining the local trade.
Therefore, the City Council granted the association a financial grant by the amount of 9000 euros for 2009, an amount that will be used to assist in supporting and financing the activities of the association.
José Miguel Muñoz, Councillor of Commerce, who was also present at the event, noted that it is the will of the City as possible to support local businesses for which, apart from the signed grant, is working to implement various projects.
Diego Huertas noted that, for now, traders are happy with the City and listed several actions that the partnership is taking place.
Finally, the mayor of the city highlights the importance of local trade for all the town and encouraged residents to buy into it.
Furthermore, also called on the traders themselves working in the local business development.
