The municipal mayor, Juan Romero Canovas, and Social Policy Council Member, Fina García, accompanied the local volunteers at the time of cohabitation with the residents of Day Care Center, on Friday 3 July.
To mark the arrival of summer and as each year the Municipal Service volunteers, rest during the months of July and August of their "voluntary actions" performed throughout the year in different fields: Accompaniments to different groups, Literacy Workshop, Volunteer at the Virgen del Rosario and Private Volunteer Day Care Center.
This year, from the Department of Social Policy in coordination with the Day Care Center prepared a day Living at the Centre.
Users prepared some surprises for volunteers, as a poem of welcome, a comic performance, and a party "hippie" symbolic, representative of happiness, friendship, fellowship, tolerance, kindness, etc, and an atmosphere of color that made room for the laughter and good humor.
The idea began as a way to acknowledge the assistance of volunteers who attend the center each week, since this year began a new field of action from the Volunteer Program at the center, where volunteers work to support some of workshops that are taught: cognitive stimulation, songbooks workshop, crafts, news and current affairs, art therapy, etc.
In short, the living was very successful, everyone had the opportunity to dance, laugh, talk and have a happier day than in the company of people, which have so much to offer to others.
