The Department of Parks and Gardens of Alhama de Murcia City Council is developing a number of actions aimed at providing green space, a network of non-potable water irrigation.
The mayor of the area, Adela de San Nicolas, said that "following the Law 6 / 2006 of 21 July on increased saving and conservation measures on water consumption, prohibits municipal landscape irrigation water drinking ", for this reason the City of Alhama de Murcia, has projected the establishment of a network of non-potable water for irrigation of municipal gardens.
This action is divided into two phases and currently is being conducted the first comprising the following parks and gardens:
New Espuña
The Americas
Garden St. Francis Xavier
Paseo de los Martires
La Cubana
Huerto de las Menas
Urb Green Zone.
Nursery
Pc of the Constitution
San Cristobal Garden
The Boquera
Paco Rabal
Madroño garden
Guadalentín sports complex.
The irrigation network consists of high density polyethylene pipe 16 atm pressure and diameters varying from 90 to 160 mm.
This pipe is housed in a ditch filled with gravel that after replacing artificial strong agglomerate.
The network path runs through several streets of Alhama: Ernest Lluch, Columbus, Marcos Redondo, Ginés Diaz Sanchez, Roque Sanchez Javaloy, Don Diego and Avd Rambla of the Constitution.
Another section provided includes the path: the path of Tejares, Street Mastic, Juniper, Almond Road Jose M ª Pemán.
Moreover, the mayor of San Nicolas Adela explained that the water prior to this footage comes from the Community Irrigation Irrigation Alhama owns Tejares Road and the Trail of the Drylands.
The amount of the Works, in this first phase is EUR 308,002.78
