The president of the Community, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, today launched a business incubator in Alhama de Murcia which will serve more than one hundred women from the city and county of Guadalentín who have opted for self-employment.
Valcárcel, accompanied by the mayor of Alhama, Juan Romero, visited the new facilities, where women of the district may request to temporarily install the headquarters of their business as well as provide advisory services and career guidance needed to implement their projects.
The creation of this enterprise infrastructure, including a regional network of seven nurseries will serve to encourage and support women's business initiatives, while encouraging the creation of jobs.
In this way, it promotes the generation of employment in emerging strategic sectors, and to offer the advice needed to open and monitor the activity.
Prior to the implementation of business project from employment offices provide customized learning paths depending on the needs of entrepreneurs and new sources of employment in the municipality.
In addition, women entrepreneurs will receive financial and legal advice applied to business or business model chosen.
Thus, said President Valcárcel, women may wish to get through an alternative self-employment work with all the facilities and guarantees to start your project.
The creation of business incubators for women in the region is one of the measures included in the Plan made, which allows a range of actions for the promotion of entrepreneurial culture and support the creation of new businesses in the Region of Murcia .
Offices, auditorium and meeting rooms
The Women's Business Incubator de Alhama is a four-storey building, built in a municipal solar.
On the ground floor is a space for receiving and three offices, which also houses the offices of the Department of Women, the Local Employment Center for Women and Equality Officer, as well as technical consultants.
On the first floor are three offices for the use of future entrepreneurs with a common waiting room.
Each office is fully equipped for use by workers.
The second floor is the multipurpose room seating 80 people and a boardroom for 12 people.
The new facilities include a computer room for training courses with 16 computers, a warehouse and an office for computer technicians.
The construction and equipping of the Women's Business Incubator has a total investment of 607,706 euros, of which 472,804 have been funded by the EU and the rest by the city of Alhama.
On the other hand, President Valcárcel, in the visit today to the Municipality, inaugurated the new premises of the Francisco Munuera, chaired by Thomas Strong, and have been refurbished to improve the care of disabled persons in the municipality.
The foundation began its work in 2006 and has since increased social benefits for disabled people in the locality.
