A course at the University of the Sea show the properties of water as a therapeutic agent, delving into the use made of the thermal waters at different times in history, as well as newer treatments that are performed in this field.
The Murcia Region is a leader in balneotherapy area with its long tradition in this field due to the presence in them of important medicinal mineral water springs, among which those of Archena, Fortuna and Alhama.
Doctors, historians, geologists, geographers and specialists in spas will be the speakers in this course will be held from 14 to 18 September in Alhama de Murcia and directed by Luis Ovejero, Gonzalo Matilla and José Baños.
The course will be closed on Friday 18 September with a roundtable on the "Balneotherapy: past illnesses and treatments and the response of modern medical spa, where you intervene Luis Ovejero, Gonzalo Matilla and Juan Andrés Barroso.
The activity has a duration of 40 hours, and students will be entitled to four free credits.
Registration will begin until next September 7.
