Councilman IU + Greens Fulgencio Thomas Olivares, presented on February 17 a motion stating that in this March 8 we argue that political and legislative initiatives should be addressed to each and every one of the structural aspects of discrimination and violence persist, and these must be addressed with preventive measures and cross, based primarily on the objective of changing social values that still allow and enhance the conditions of inequality between women and men.
On March 8, International Women's Day, is the auspicious date, so that the City Council truly show its willingness to put the real basis for that equality of women is a fact and not a mere aspiration to a series of measures for a real transformation of our society where we are citizens in women full rights.

Implementing and developing actions and programs that promote awareness and shape of real equality between men and women.
Developing a Plan of Equality under the mainstream, which involve all the municipal areas.
With sufficient budget and annual evaluation of its implementation and development.
Development in our City Council Equality Scheme for workers of our institution.
Budget increase commitment to gender equality policies, having to be at least 5% in the next 4 years (involving at least 2% next year).
