The City of Alhama de Murcia, through the Department of Culture, organized a cultural trip to the city of Caravaca de la Cruz.
The councilman of Culture, Juan Romero, this morning thanking the efforts of Fernando Gutierrez, pastor of San Lazaro, which will allow our city to celebrate the "Day of Alhama in Caravaca" on 21 March.
The celebration of the Jubilee Year was granted in perpetuity by the Holy See in 1998, with a periodicity of seven years of each other, so similar to those of Santiago de Compostela and Santo Toribio de Leiva.
The importance of this concession, Gutierrez noted, is due to the great devotion acquired the True Cross of Caravaca Cross is part of a piece of wood of the true cross on which Jesus was crucified.
The proposed itinerary for the trip on Sunday, March 21 layout is as follows:
- Exit the Fairgrounds at 8:30 pm with arrival at about 9:30 am Caravaca

Guided tour of the Museum of the Fiesta.
- 11:30 h.
Archpriest Saviour's Church from the Church and pilgrimage to the Shrine.
- 12:00 h.
Mass at the Basilica Shrine of the Blessed.
Vera Cruz.
Mass will be celebrated by the bishop of the diocese of Cartagena José Manuel Lorca Planes.
- 13 h.
Free visit to the shrine or optional visit to the Museo d la Vera Cruz.

- 14:30 h.
Lunch at restaurant.
- 16:30 h.
Free time to enjoy the city and shopping.
- 17:30 h.
Back to Alhama.
Be awarded the certificate of Jubilee and the fare is 25 €.
