The City of Alhama de Murcia through the Department of Culture has organized a series of activities to mark World Book Day.
This year, to mark the centenary of the birth of Miguel Hernández, has promoted a special cultural program, with the aim of bringing life and work of poet alhameña oriolano the population.
To do this, has designed a program in which the senses are the protagonists: music, painting and literature go hand in hand to raise awareness for the spectator, you can enjoy them in the best possible environment.
The Archaeological Museum hosted the Los Baños and sung poetry reading poems by Miguel Hernandez, the Exhibition Hall will feature The Granary exposure Nanas de la Cebolla de Alarcón Happy in the month of May, the City Library will be every Friday until Storytelling end of May and the streets and squares of Alhama welcome the poems of Miguel Hernández in large panels, under the banner of books on the street.
The special program to commemorate the birth of Miguel Hernandez, began last April 15 at the Archaeological Museum Los Baños, with a poetry sung by Magdalena Sanchez and Jerome Galián.
The vaulted halls of the Baths framed an intense performance, in which attendees had the opportunity to remember the poems of Miguel Hernández through music and words.
On Wednesday, April 21 began another activity scheduled, Books Street, which ends May 9.
This initiative will bring, as every year, in the squares and streets of the town, a literary selection, in this case, the most representative poems of the poet Miguel Hernández, such as harvesters, the ray that does not stop, Child of Light and shade, For freedom, Children Yuntero, Elegy, Winds of people taking me, came with three wounds or Nanas de la cebolla allowing a walk through the streets of the municipality and the poetry of Miguel Hernandez.
Special programming will conclude with an exhibition of paintings Homage to Miguel Hernandez Nanas de la cebolla, which opens May 8 in "The Granary" and will close on May 30.
The author, Antonio Alarcón Felices, structured exposure through one of the best poems of the poet Orihuela, Nanas de la cebolla, which split into thirty parts, one for each year of his life, reflecting, through painting, feelings off the lines that Michael Hernandez wrote in prison to his son and his wife.
This catalog will be sent to all secondary schools and may be made scheduled visits to the exhibition.
Also the City of Alhama de Murcia has also collaborated in editing the catalog for the exhibition in May at the Granary, entitled "Homage to Miguel Hernandez Nanas de la cebolla" along with other municipalities in the Region of Murcia, which will also host exposure of that this year Hernandiana 2010.
To round off this comprehensive range of activities, the City of Alhama de Murcia has worked in publishing a book containing a selection of his best poems, "Miguel Hernández, life and work of a poet" to commemorate the centenary of his 1910-2010 birth and the celebration of World Book Day, which will be in the libraries of all colleges and institutes of Alhama and in the Municipal Library.
Complete the program, to commemorate the celebration of World Book Day, the Municipal Library's storyteller, which began on Friday 16 April with the first storytellers, Chufo Colorao Mouse, attended by around a hundred children who enjoyed their tales of almost one hour.
The next storyteller will be Friday 23 April, World Book Day BALL THEATER, on 7 May with Mariana and her magical stories and end the cycle with INMA Tales Rufete and Mari Pili, on 14 May.
Set in the schedule, today, Thursday 22 April, also held the book launch of Patrick Ericson Objective: Adolf Hitler, in the domed hall of the Archaeological Museum Los Baños.
Finally, to finish programming around World Book Day, the 29th of May, will proceed to award the Literary Contest X ALFONSO MARTINEZ-MENA, and then the presentation of the book of short stories Literary Awards Contest Short Story 2001-2010 Alfonso Martinez-Mena in the Plenary Hall of the Ayuntamiento de Alhama at 20:30 pm.
