The City of Alhama de Murcia, through the Department of Culture and Heritage and the Municipal Archives by organized "CONTEST VIGNETTES II."

On April 23 at the Exhibition Hall of Culture Center Plaza Vieja was the prize of the contest, by the Councillor for Education, José Miguel Munoz

This cultural activity, coinciding with World Book Day, was aimed at students from 4 th, 5 th and 6 th grade.

The purpose for this competition which began last year is to edit a comic about Alhama, where we can see reflected in comic highlights of the history of our people, seen and drawn from the perspective of children.

Last year the topics chosen were Easter and the Mayos, this year has been the feast of the Candelaria and the Fair and Festival, in honor of our patroness La Virgen del Rosario.

The publication of this cartoon contest has had a considerable increase over last year's participation has grown from 243 to 292 students participating this year, distributed in the following schools:

- CP Gines San Cristóbal Díaz: 121 students

- CP Espuńa: 84 students

- CP Antonio Machado: 41 students

- CP Ricardo Codorníu: 21 students

- CP Prince of Spain: 19 students

- CP Virgen del Rosario: 6 students

The jury formed by the Councillor for Culture and Heritage, John Romero, municipal area of culture and education professionals gave the following awards:
